Personal Brand Positioning & Strategy

Decide what you are known for — before you post another word.

Most content fails upstream: the person publishing it has not decided who it is for or why anyone should care. This is a research-led positioning engagement that produces a written strategy — niche, message, offer, pillars and proof — so every future profile edit, post and design has a reason behind it.

Discuss your positioning

Is this for you?

You have real expertise. The market cannot tell.

  • You could help several audiences and end up speaking to none
  • Your content gets likes from peers, not enquiries from buyers
  • You change your headline every month
  • Your offers are unclear, so people ask "so what exactly do you do?"
  • You are pivoting — new niche, new market or new offer

What you walk away with

Clarity you can execute.

  • A one-sentence positioning statement you can say out loud without flinching
  • The buyer language your audience actually uses — pulled from real conversations, reviews and posts
  • A differentiation angle that is true, defensible and interesting
  • An offer ladder: free → entry → core → premium
  • Four content pillars with 10 example topics each
  • A proof inventory and the gaps to fill in the next 90 days

The method

Research-led clarity in five moves.

01

Deep interview

A 90-minute conversation about your path, your best work, the clients you loved and the ones you would never take again.

02

Market & buyer research

What your buyers search, ask and complain about; who they already follow; which promises are overused in your category.

03

Competitor map

How 8–10 comparable experts position themselves, and where the empty, credible space is for you.

04

Message & offer design

Positioning statement, headline options, offer ladder and pricing logic that fits how you want to work.

05

Content architecture

Pillars, formats and a weekly rhythm — so the content system (yours or mine) has a spine.

Review & handover

FAQ

Positioning & strategy — questions

What is personal brand positioning?

Positioning is the decision about what you want to be known for, by whom, and why they should believe you. It defines your niche, your core message, the offer you lead with, the proof you show and the topics you publish about. Everything else — profile, content, design — executes that decision.

How is this different from profile optimization?

Profile optimization applies positioning to one surface (your LinkedIn profile). This service creates the positioning itself, in depth, as a written strategy you can hand to a designer, a ghostwriter or your future self. If you already know exactly who you serve and why, you may only need profile optimization.

What do I actually get?

A positioning document (typically 12–18 pages): audience and buyer insights, competitor map, your differentiation, core message and headline options, offer ladder, four content pillars with example topics, proof inventory, and a 90-day priority plan.

How much of this uses AI?

I use AI to speed up market research, cluster audience language and pressure-test angles. The judgement — what to stand for, what to leave out, what is believable for you — is human, and is the actual value of the work.
